The story of legendary folk hero Robin Hood trying to thwart a plot to kill the archbishop of Canterbury. When one of Robin's men is tortured into giving away his hiding place to the sheriff of Nottingham, the merry men are forced to break camp. When, in disguise, Robin then secures a position with one of the sheriff's cohorts, he stumbles on a plot to murder the archbishop.
